Anniversary HeliRussia 2017
Wednesday June 21, 2017 13:59 MSK / Alexey Kondratov
In Moscow, the 10th anniversary International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia 2017 began its work. This is the main industry event of the year and the largest exhibition of helicopters and equipment in Europe.

The exhibition is attended by 237 companies, including 50 foreign, from 21 countries. Visitors are shown 22 helicopters, 2 innovative gyroplanes, 15 unmanned vehicles, a busy business program is underway.

Russian Helicopters holding, the title sponsor of the event, will introduce the visitors to the development of the Ansat, Mi-171A2 and Mi-38T helicopter programs, and also presents a new UAV-convertoplan.

"Russian Helicopters" signed two memorandums on the promotion of Russian helicopter equipment to the market: an agreement with UTair Aviation provides for the joint launch of a new Mi-171A2 helicopter to the market, and the agreement with Sberbank Leasing is aimed at promoting a whole line of helicopters: Ansat , Mi-8AMT and Mi-8MTV-1, as well as Mi-171A2.

Within the framework of the exhibition Russian Helicopters handed the first of six Ansat medical helicopters to the GTLK leasing company, the parties also entered into an agreement providing for the delivery of a total of about 60 medical helicopters to GTLK.

By the first day of HeliRussia 2017 Russian Helicopters timed the long-awaited event - the first flight of the new multipurpose helicopter Ka-62, which took place on the basis of the AAC Progress in Arsenyev. The helicopter successfully completed the flight in a circle at a speed of 110 km/h for a period of 15 minutes. According to the representatives of the holding company, two more Ka-62 helicopters will soon join the flight tests.

The Ramenskoye Instrument-Making Design Bureau (RPKB) presented the Ansat-RT helicopter equipped with the latest unified BREO complex for helicopters of various types and for different purposes. A functioning set of avionics of the new generation was demonstrated on HeliRussia 2017 for the first time. Such a complex significantly expands the capabilities of the Ansat helicopter, and this is just the beginning: in the future, all Russian helicopters can move to a unified set of avionics, which will not only improve their efficiency, but also allow pilots to switch over to new types of vehicles.

Also during HeliRussia 2017 were premiered two models of the project "Ventocopter" - models A1 and R1. Visitors of the exhibition could appreciate the unique design solutions of gyroplanes, which were being prepared for serial production.

Considerable attention was attracted to the new light helicopter "Afaline", a prototype of which, ready for flight testing, was demonstrated at the exhibition. Also visiting the exhibition you could see a new sample of the "air scooter" "Micron" and ECOX7 "Greenfly" with an electric motor. With the introduction to the market, such technique can significantly affect the appearance of general aviation and make air possession more accessible.

From foreign-branded helicopters, the exhibition showed popular Robinson R44 and R66 produced in Russia under the license of Bell 407GXP and Leonardo AW139, a light helicopter Safari, also a wide range of helicopters by Airbus Helicopters, including H145 in the medical version.

Within the framework of the exhibition Airbus Helicopters announced the reduction in prices for deliveries of spare parts to Russia.

Exclases Holdings, the official partner of the exhibition, introduced the visitors to the program for the AW189 helicopter for offshore flights.

Every year, HeliRussia increases the exposure of unmanned aerial vehicles of Russian and foreign manufacture. This year it was possible to get acquainted with interesting projects, such as unmanned convertible from "BP-technology" and innovative BAS YURIK, drones from CopterExpress, "Geoscane" 201, SuperCam S350, Lehmann Aviation LA-500, also for the first time in Russia there was demonstrated a line of Chinese UAVs of Sunic brand.

Every day a spectacular "HeliRussia Drone-Racing Cup" takes place on a special race track for micro-UAVs. In drone-racing competitions, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with a frame size of up to 90 mm are used. Piloting of such UAVs is carried out "from the first person", through glasses or a helmet.
