Double-stored Train Is Leaving For Vnukovo Airport

October 27, 2017 Aeroexpress put into operation the first double-stored train produced by the company Stadler. The first train of the new generation began to run along the route "Kiev railway station - Vnukovo airport". At 14:00 the first passengers on the new train went to the airport. And beginning from November 2017, double-stored trains will start transportation of passengers on the route "Paveletsky Railway Station - Domodedovo Airport". The new double-stored structure was made by the Swiss manufacturer specially for the company Aeroexpress.

On the occasion of the launch of the first double-stored train of a new type in operation, a solemn ceremony was held at the Kiev railway station in Moscow - the presentation of a new train. One of the first was the Russian Transport Minister Maxim Yurievich Sokolov, who inspected the train.

Alexei Krivoruchko, the General Director of Aeroexpress, accompanied him, the First Deputy Head of the Department for Transport and Development of Road and Transport Infrastructure of Moscow Gamid Bulatov, the General Director of Vnukovo International Airport Vasily Alexandrov and other representatives of the transport industry.

This allowed the companies in an accelerated mode to implement a large-scale program of rolling stock renewal and to purchase modern, reliable and comfortable trains. Aeroexpress has an opportunity to attract long-term financing and commission the most modern double-stored trains. Together with the "Lastochka" trains running on the Leningrad railroad track, the "Ivolga" compositions of the Kiev direction, they will change the idea of ​​passengers about the comfort of suburban electric trains. In total, since 2010 the park of rolling stock on suburban railway communication will be renewed by 30% before the end of this year,» - said the First Deputy Head of the Department for Transport and Development of Road Infrastructure of Moscow Hamid Bulatov.

 

The renewal of the rolling stock is another stage in the company's development ahead of the start of the 2018 World Cup. «Today's event is a remarkable result of the painstaking work of all participants in this complex and unique transaction for the Russian market, the structure of which has effectively solved the issue of long-term foreign exchange risks foreign equipment by Russian companies. New trains ESH-2 are able to reach speeds of up to 160 km / h. There are 396 seats in the four-waggon version, and 700 seats in the six-gallon train. Including 84 places in the business class. Each train is equipped with several screens, rosettes, convenient and easily transformable armchairs and a free Wi-Fi network. In total, four such trains are planned to be commissioned by the end of November this year in the direction "Kievskiy Vokzal - Vnukovo Airport". And seven trains will run to Domodedovo airport. In total, Aeroexpress purchased 11 double-stored trains, and all of them will be put into operation before the end of the year.

The Swiss company Stadler has been manufacturing trains for 75 years.
