«In group piloting, we don’t have any special changes yet. However, in pair and in individual pilotage we have the opportunity to perform any turns, «flips», «controlled corkscrew» because of the aerodynamics of the airplane and the controlled thrust vector,» - said Andrei Alekseev the commander of «Russian Knights».
According to his words, the group is consistently mastering piloting on a new aircraft. «Su-30SM is a magnificent aircraft, therefore in our program at the exhibition there would be a lot of new elements in single piloting using super-maneuverability», - he noted.
Special interest in Su-30SM flights at the exhibition is due to the fact that this aircraft is a further development of the Su-30MKI fighter of Indian Air Force and Su-30MKM of the Royal Air Force of Malaysia.
Also on the first day of the international exhibition LIMA-2017 the commander of the Royal Air Force of Malaysia General Affendi bin Buang, the leadership of the "Irkut" Corporation and the UAC met with a group of Russian and Malaysian pilots.
Pilots of Su-30SM fighters of the aerial aerobatics group "Russian Knights" and pilots of Su-30MKM aircraft of the 11th Squadron of the Royal Air Force of Malaysia took part in the demonstration flights.
General Affendi bin Buang called the Su-30MKM one of the best aircrafts in its class and expressed gratitude to the creators of this beautiful machine. "The development of the Su-30MKM program is extremely important for the country's defense capability," - the head of the Royal Air Force of Malaysia said.
The air aces of Russia and Malaysia, whose public appearances evoke the enthusiastic delight of the audience, highly praised the flight characteristics of their combat vehicles. The pilot of the Royal Air Force of Malaysia, Colonel Djborg, said that the Su-30MKM is a magnificent aircraft. "This is the best fighter that I have piloted during more than twenty years of career," added the Malaysian pilot.
President of the PJSC "Irkut Corporation" Oleg Demchenko celebrated high-skilled pilots and their ability to make the most of the capabilities of super-maneuverable fighters.
The First Vice-President of UAC Alexander Tulyakov said: "It`s very important for us, as developers and manufacturers of aviation equipment, the positive evaluation that Russian and Malaysian pilots give to our aircrafts.»
The meeting ended with a joint photo shoot with Su-30SM aircrafts on the background.
