November of the outgoing year 2017 was marked by important events in the field of military aviation: the prototype of the long-range bomber Tu-160M2 was rolled out on November 16th in Kazan, and the prototype of the heavy air tanker Il-78M-90A left for the flight test station on the 29th in Ulyanovsk. Together with the launch of the 955A Borey-A nuclear power missile cruiser Knyaz Vladimir in Severodvinsk, these events provide vivid examples of how the efforts of the country's top political leadership are making qualitative changes in strengthening Russia's defence capability. More precisely, the ability of the domestic defence industry to produce advanced models of complex military equipment, which are not inferior to, and sometimes surpasses, the best world analogs, is being restored. далее

Six MiG-31, Su-27 and MiG-29 fighters passed in pairs over the water area of the "Sea Station" in the western end of Vasilievsky Island, presenting combat aircraft at IMDS'2017. The eighth International Maritime Defence Show took place in St. Petersburg, in the territory of the Lenexpo Exhibition Complex from June 28 to July 2.
