SportJet by Sukhoi will be the third product in the range of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft alongside Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) and Sukhoi Business Jet (SBJ), expanding the product’s markets.

The concept is based on the expertise and technology of Sukhoi Superjet 100, enhanced by innovative medical and IT solutions developed in cooperation with sports physicians, experts and managers. It will address the impact of flights such as jet lag, hypoxia, dehydration, stress on the body and aerophobia. The airliner is scheduled for release and certification in 2018.

According to Sukhoi, the sports air transportation market now exceeds USD 600 million per year.

SportJet by Sukhoi creates conditions for healthy relaxation, quality recovery, and provides comfortable training space for athletes on-board.

The concept of SportJet by Sukhoi was developed based on scientific and practical research in the field of sports, dedicated particularly to the impacts of flying on athletes’ physical and emotional health, such as: jet lag, change of time zones, hypoxia, disruption of nutrition, dehydration, stress, aerophobia and other problems related to flying.

Seats for athletes

Sportsmen`s seats are individualised by the player`s number and personal greeting on the screen. The configuration allows travelling in lying position, and includes integrated biomedical gadgets, variable lighting and individual multimedia display units with special content. The devices are integrated in the armrests, backrest and under seat, and fitted with the media system control unit.

Due to the biomedical gadgets athlete may be tested before, after and during the flight, to diagnose the physiological and psychological parameters of the athlete`s functionality and to shape the individual flight program.

The world’s first mobile diagnostic device that should be born in flight. The band will complete the athlete`s seat equipment. It is designed to monitor the athlete functional status during the flight. 

Following the airband output data the sportsman will get personal recommendation for the highest comfort in flight. The airband supports the wireless data transmission to the central display unit of the air adaptation team specialist and to the mobile device. 

AeroScan capsule for diagnostics

Specific diagnostic equipment based on the unified hardware and software platform, with devices integrated into the multi-functional seat.

It is dedicated to provide comprehensive assessment of the body functions, and also can build a detailed report with recommendations on their corrections.

SportJet software product

A software product was designed expressly for SportJet to collect the information about all physiological parameters received following the tests and to automatically personalise the flight program. Besides, such software product directs on a real-time basis notices and warnings to the specific information screen to initiate immediately the correctional procedures and to inform the team physician.

The programme interface is simple and easy-to- understand. Physiological data are intelligibly visualised to feed back to the sportsman and, therefore, to increase his confidence in the system. 

The programme keeps informational data from each flight per each sportsman, and the next flight it will suggest the very programmes and instruments that showed the highest effectiveness for that particular sportsman, and he could gather the flight report by way of mobile application.
