It is the first indigenous simulator in Russia, which meets the requirements of Flight Training Device Level D with movement and display systems.
The contract between IFC and S7 Group on installation of the simulator has been signed last summer during Farnborough International 2010 airshow. The simulator has been developed and manufactured in accordance with a contract between IFC and Transas (St. Petersburg), signed at MAKS-2007.
Transas is the leading enterprise of Russia in the area of aircraft furnishing development, air navigation provision and aviation training devices of all the certification levels; it has its own production center, testing laboratory and all the necessary licenses and certificates.
The simulator is developed on the basis of components produced by Russian enterprises. The simulator is equipped with new electro-pneumatic movement system. It is the most advanced solution and unlike the foreign simulators, equipped with electro-hydraulic platforms, it provides 4-5 times lower electrical energy consumption. S7 Training is the first Training Center, which has the FFS for An-148. Moreover, in accordance with the contract between IFC and S7 Group, a procedure trainer and a trainer for emergency-rescue training have been installed and educational interactive computer class has been built up.
Thus, the training system for the new type of aircraft, which meets all the modern world standards, has been created by S7 Training for the first time in the history of Russia. In fact, the whole training center for An-148 has been created. S7 Training center has passed the certification and received all the necessary permissions from Federal Air Transport Agency for training of flight and cabin crews for An-148 aircraft.
S7 Training is the aviation training center owned by S7 Airlines and certified in 80 areas of training and professional development of flight and operating personnel for all the most popular aircraft types in Russia: Airbus 319/320/321; Boeing 737-300/400/500; Boeing 737-600/700/800/900. The training center has the most advanced technical facilities in Russian and provides the full cycle of training.
Creation of advanced Full Flight Simulator and Training Center for An-148 crews was another important project, implemented by Ilyushin Finance & Co. According to CEO of IFC, Alexander Rubtsov, the amount of investment in the project was about $20 million. Ten years of experience in deliveries of Russian aircraft along with formed and productive contacts with the largest credit institutions and airlines of Russia allowed IFC to become the leader of aviation leasing in Russia.
