During the winter schedule Boeing 787-8 with a capacity of 211 seats will serve the Beijing-Moscow-Beijing route twice a week: on Tuesday and Saturday. Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner will be the first aircraft of this type, performing regular flights from Sheremetyevo to Beijing. Flights in the direction of Beijing-Sheremetyevo-Beijing Hainan Airlines began in 2009 and by 2017 increased passenger traffic almost twice. And from January 1, 2017 the airline served on this route already about 70 thousand passengers, which is 15% more than the same period last year.
Before the solemn meeting of the first flight in the museum complex of the Sheremetyevo Airport a press conference was held for media representatives, bloggers and spotters with Boeing Commercial Airplanes regional marketing director Max Nilov, the head of the service for working with foreign airlines JSC Sheremetyevo International Airport Alexander Nikonov and marketing and sales manager of the Moscow representative office of Hainan Airlines Olga Etmanova.
"China is one of the most dynamically developing routes from Sheremetyevo. This year we expect about 2 million passengers on Chinese routes. Flights are performed by 7 Chinese airlines and Aeroflot. In addition, since November 3, Chinese airlines will become one more - we will be joined by Lucky Air, a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines. We are sure that passengers will appreciate the comfort of Dreamliner. We are pleased that the Sheremetyevo team has also contributed to the start of flights of 787 to our airport, " - Mr. Nikonov said.

"Hainan Airlines is part of the HNA Group holding, which includes 15 more companies. In Sheremetyevo, several subsidiary air carriers also fly. There are 204 aircraft in the carrier's fleet, the average age of which is 4 years. We fly on Boeing planes, and from October 31 start flying to Russia on 787 aircraft, and on November 1, Dreamliner made a flight to St. Petersburg. The layout of the aircraft is 35 seats in the business class and 176 in the economy class. Boeing 787-8 features the largest portholes, high-quality air in the cabin and a high level of comfort. In the airplane more capacious luggage shelves, soft LED lighting, technology is used to detect and reduce the effect of turbulence, providing a smoother flight of the aircraft. The distance between the seats of the business class is almost 2 meters, and the back is laid out in a full bed. The step of seats in the economy class is increased and is 84 cm. Each chair is equipped with individual 15-inch screens, and multimedia is available in 5 languages, including Russian, "- Olga Etmanova said.
After the press conference, the official opening ceremony of the registration for the first flight of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner from Hainan Airlines from Moscow took place. Prior to the ceremonial cutting of the tape with welcoming speeches, the representatives of the media JSC SIA, Li Jingyuan, Counselor-Ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, and Zhang Te, Director General of the Moscow Representative Office of Hainan Airlines.
