Ekaterinburg Integrated Center is equipped with advanced automated air traffic management system, which includes:
-
a set of automation equipment for air traffic control based on KSA ATC "Alpha-5";
-
a set of automation tools for planning the use of airspace on the basis of the Planet-5 CSA;
-
voice communication switching system based on Megafon SKRS;
-
a complex of documenting and reproducing information on the basis of KDVI Granit-6;

This equipment allows you to reliably and efficiently process information received from ground-based surveillance, carry out air traffic control via radio communications and maintain communication with adjacent control points.
The ATM automated system produced by NITA LLC was supplied under agreements with Concern VKO Almaz-Antey. The system is located in the new technological building of the original layout, located near the airport Ekaterinburg (Koltsovo). The system is based on the updated KSA versions of the Alpha-5 ATC and the KSA Planet-5 KIA, which corresponds to the highest level of automation according to the international classification. In the technological building of the Ekaterinburg integrated center there are 10 sectors of the EU Regional ATM Center Yekaterinburg, the control tower of the Yekaterinburg (Koltsovo) aerodrome approach, the UATMS Zonal Center.
The architectural construction of the technological building of the Ekaterinburg integrated center is multilevel, consists of one-storey and three-storey parts. The three-storey part of the building is in terms of a segment of a ring (236 degrees), 18 meters high, standing on supports. The technological building was built in close proximity to the buildings of the FKU “Ural Aviation Search and Rescue Center” with a coordinating center for search and rescue, thus forming a closed ring. The planned number of employees in the Yekaterinburg Integrated Center: air traffic service personnel - 195 people, airspace planning personnel - 56 people, ERTOS engineering and technical personnel - 28 people. The new ATM system will increase airspace capacity, reduce operating costs, centralise air traffic control functions, and improve the safety and efficiency of air traffic management in the Yekaterinburg integrated center of the Urals Air Navigation branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise for ATM.
