The Ministry for industry and trade (Russian acronym Minpromtorg) is a part of the Russian government structure on the level of the Federation.
Its responsibilities are reflected in Ministry’s functions, which are as follows: working out state policies and legislative regulation in the sphere of manufacturing industries and the defense industrial complex; acting in the interests of the Russian state in development of (indigenous) aviation equipment, technical regulation and provision of unitary (uniform) measuring; acting in the interests of the national defense and security of the Russian state, promotion of inner and foreign trade, traditional national crafts and skills; rendering governmental services and managing governmental property in the sphere of manufacturing industries (including aircraft manufacturing); encouraging export of industrial products, facilitating market entry for (new) goods and services.
